A customer wrote to me today asking about a product called "Matcha Slim." She had read that Matcha Slim promises significant weight loss and wanted to know if our Matcha does the same:
"Today I came across the product Matcha Slim via Pinterest. This product promises the customer significant weight loss. This interested me, so I googled various Matcha product providers. When I came to your site, I immediately noticed that you do not advertise great weight loss. I now wonder why? Are the products different, or is there nothing to the claimed weight loss from taking Matcha? Best regards, Stefanie."
Thank you for your question, Stefanie.
As is the case with most "quick weight loss products," this is also just marketing and not scientifically proven facts.
Unfortunately, there is no quick solution for losing weight, not even a magical green powder from Japan. If such a product existed, it would be strictly regulated and sold as a medicine. If you look closely at the ingredients of Matcha Slim, there is nothing special about it; it is a Matcha blend with some plant extracts - and although the polyphenols (plant nutrients) in Matcha can support digestion, this will not be enough to change the number on your scale.
At MatchaLand, we only make claims that are scientifically proven: longer-lasting energy, increased concentration, and a healthy effect due to the high content of antioxidants.
Any fitness expert or sports scientist will tell you that for most people, a calorie deficit has the greatest impact on weight loss.
That only calorie intake (not endurance training 'cardio,' as many think) has the greatest influence on weight loss for most people. This means your body burns more calories than it takes in through food – then your body will begin to use fat reserves for energy.
Of course, there are treatments like cryolipolysis and liposuction, but these are medical procedures.
So unfortunately, there is no drink that has a measurable effect on weight loss, except perhaps a protein shake, but that is a completely different matter.
As mentioned, you can certainly improve digestion with Matcha due to its probiotics, but this plays a very small role in overall weight loss.
By the way, if you enter Matcha Slim Switzerland on Google and look at the ingredient list, you will find that Matcha is not even the first ingredient of Matcha Slim. It is maltodextrin, a carbohydrate used for weight gain!
If you want to drink Matcha for its energy, concentration, and health benefits, choose pure Matcha from Japan without added ingredients, like the Matcha from MatchaLand.
