Matcha Origin + Ceremony Quality
Our organic matcha is grown in Osaka, Japan. Only the youngest, greenest green tea leaves from the first harvest are selected so that your matcha is extremely green, non-bitter and full of antioxidants.
What is ceremony quality?
The "ceremony quality" is the highest quality of matcha available. It is made from the youngest, greenest green tea leaves and produces a fine, bright green powder that tastes creamy and slightly sweet.
Inferior qualities such as "Premium" or "Culinary", on the other hand, are produced from older leaves, have a darker/yellowish color, taste bitter (sometimes fishy) and have an unpleasant aftertaste.
